  8. WHAT IS "FAITH"?    We do not mean the denomination, etc. to which
  9.                     you belong but ... FAITH .. THAT ACTIVE FORCE
  10.                     THAT RELEASES THE POWER OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE &
  11.                     CIRCUMSTANCES.
  12.  
  13. HOW DOES FAITH WORK?
  14.                     FAITH COMES FROM GOD Mark 11:22, Eph. 2:8,9
  15.                     FAITH IS THE LINK BETWEEN ME (in the seen
  16.                     world) AND GOD (in the unseen) 2 Cor. 4:18
  17.                     FAITH TAKES THE PROMISES OF GOD FROM THE
  18.                     UNSEEN REALM & BRINGS THEM INTO THE REALM OF
  19.                     THE SEEN
  20.  
  21.           THE SPIRITUAL FORCE OF FAITH COMES FROM GOD Rom. 12:3 IT
  22.           COMES THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT TO OUR SPIRITS Rom. 10:17
  23.           INTO OUR MIND & IS SPOKEN OUT OF OUR MOUTH (Mark 11:23,
  24.           AND IS FOR DAILY LIVING. (Rom.1:17; 2 Cor.5:7) Rom. 10:

  27. FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE .. THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN (Heb.
  28. 11:1)

  30. NOW FAITH IS        FAITH IS NOW! PRESENT TENSE ... not past, not
  31.                     future! Hope is future tense! Hope is
  32.                     important to set the goal but it is not the
  33.                     same as faith!
  34.  
  35. FAITH IS            an active spiritual force to release the power
  36.                     of God in our lives, changing what is seen!
  37.                     FAITH brings into this physical world that
  38.                     which is available in the spiritual world ..
  39.                     those things that are profitable for a
  40.                     believer's godly life!
  41.  
  42. FAITH IS ACTION     It is not enough to know something but you
  43.                     must act on that knowledge if it is to bring
  44.                     results in your life. (You can know that
  45.                     eating good food prevents malnutrition but
  46.                     unless you act on that knowledge and eat good
  47.                     food, you will die from malnutrition!)

  49. FAITH IS ALWAYS ACTING ON THE WORD, BELIEVING GOD'S WORD,
  50. CONFESSING THAT WORD, AND SEEING IT COME TO PASS IN YOUR LIFE.

  52. Jesus said, in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I say to you, all things for
  53. which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and
  54. they shall be granted you.' (NASB) The King James translation says
  55. "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye
  56. receive them, and ye shall have them."
  57.  
  58. WHAT ARE DESIRES? A craving . . a longing . . to ask for, to call
  59. for! Jesus said - it is what YOU desire ... not HIS desires!
  60. JOHN 15:7 says "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, YE
  61. SHALL ASK WHAT YE WILL, and it shall be done unto you."
  62.  
  63. PSALM 37:4 says "Delight thyself also in the Lord,, and He shall
  64. give thee the desires of thine heart."
  65.  
  66. As we compare Mark 11 :24, John 15:7 and Psalm 37:4, we see the
  67. emphasis on delighting yourself in the Lord to obtain the desires
  68. of your heart, lines up with "abiding in Christ and His words
  69. abiding in you" to ask what you will and it shall be done unto you!
  70.  
  71. In view of this comparison of verses, we could then say "Delight
  72. yourself in the Word and He shall give you the desires of your
  73. heart".

  75. GOD'S PROMISES ARE CONDITIONAL .. Every promise given by God in His
  76. Word carries a condition! God always does His part when we do our
  77. part!
  78.  
  79. Mark 11:25,26       The condition is that we must FORGIVE.
  80. James 2:13          The condition is that we must have MERCY ON
  81.                     OTHERS.
  82. 1 Peter 5:7         The condition is that we must cast ALL our
  83.                     care upon Him.
  84. Isaiah 26:3         The condition is that we must keep our minds
  85.                     fixed upon Him!
  86.  
  87. To keep your mind on God means to keep your mind on His Word! We
  88. need to DELIGHT ourselves in the Word! Then when you delight
  89. yourself in God's Word, God has promised to give you the desires of
  90. your heart.
  91.  
  92. Romans 12:2 clearly indicates that when we are transformed by the
  93. renewing of our mind, we will prove what is that GOOD, ACCEPTABLE
  94. and PERFECT, will of God.
  95.  
  96. God has given us a free will.  He has never taken away the POWER OF
  97. CHOICE, (Deut. 30:19,20).  He has declared "CHOOSE LIFE in order
  98. that you may live BY...... loving the Lord, by obeying His voice,
  99. and by holding fast to Him....
  100.  
  101. When our will is in line with His will, WE WILL NEVER ASK ANYTHING
  102. CONTRARY TO HIS WORD .... we will never desire anything that brings
  103. reproach on the Name of the Lord; we will never desire anything
  104. that brings shame on His church; we will never desire anything that
  105. conflicts with God's Word; we will never desire anything that
  106. causes our brother to stumble!

  108. John 15:7           IF His Word ABIDES (lives permanently in,
  109.                     takes up residence) in us and we abide (live
  110.                     permanently in, take up residence in) in His
  111.                     Word, WHATEVER WE ASK shall be done for us!
  112.  
  113.      WHATEVER WE ASK ... SHALL BE DONE FOR US by God If we live in
  114.      that Word and that Word lives in us.
  115.  
  116. GOD CAN TRUST US WHEN WE HAVE HIS WORD LIVING IN Us.  He knows that
  117. if we are bound by His Word, we will never ask for anything that is
  118. in opposition to His Word .. we will not want anything that does
  119. not please Him!
  120.  
  121. PERHAPS YOU ARE SAYING, --WHAT IF WE ASK FOR THE WRONG THING?"
  122. As born-again, Spirit-filled believers, walking in line with God's
  123. Word, we could never ask for something that is wrong for us ..
  124. something that is worldly, ungodly, evil or selfish!
  125.  
  126. When we trust our husband, wife or child, we know that we can trust
  127. them with our Credit Card or-Charge Account card, knowing that they
  128. will not spend recklessly or foolishly because we have proved them
  129. in this area! Based on past experience, we know they will not come
  130. back having bought useless items or having spent foolishly.
  131.  
  132. CAN GOD TRUST YOU? Do you pay your tithes and offerings? Some
  133. people always promise God the tithe when they get richer or have
  134. all their bills paid, etc. but God needs to see that we are
  135. trustworthy! Do you live in God's Word? Do you pray always?
  136.  
  137. GOD KNOWS NO LIMIT 
  138. Ephesians 3:20      Now to Him who is able to do EXCEEDING
  139.                     ABUNDANTLY BEYOND ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK,
  140.                     according to the power that works within
  141.                     us..." 
  142.      (Notice the fine print in the contract!) Allow His Word to
  143.      govern your thoughts and actions, and you will prove that GOD
  144.      CAN! WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE .. Matthew 19:26
